… I have no idea how I missed seeing this video amid all the hype around the Tom Cruise one. Winner of the best feel good quote of the year:

If you leave this room after seeing this film, and walk out and never mention Scientology again, you are perfectly free to do so. It would be stupid, but you can do it. You can also dive off a bridge or blow your brains out – that is your choice.

From the Bad Headlines Department

It seems like Time would have foreseen the problems with a headline like “The Pope’s Sex Abuse Challenge”. The headline evokes some kind of twisted adaptation of The Pepsi Challenge in which the participants are asked to identify whether it is a member of the clergy or a layman who is penet… You know, never mind. I’ll hang onto my eternal soul by not finishing that joke.

Looks like Hillary wasn’t lying.

Well, I’m no fan of Hillary Clinton, but as this clearly authentic footage shows, she was telling the truth about being under sniper fire while she was the first lady. Great stuff.

Spam blog poetry

This is some fake “blog” that is actually a planted site to gather keyword hits for search engines, and attempts to somewhat resemble coherent sentences with varying degrees of success, and intentional typos. I came across it while searching for info on the great old game, Crossbows and Catapults, to show a friend. That being said, when you get one of these types of e-mails or see one of these web sites, try reading the “sentences” rhythmically and tell me it wouldn’t make a pretty great piece of “abstract poetry”.
