In checking out this article at Popular Mechanics, I couldn’t help but feel I had seen the Nubrella before. Then it hit me.

    That’s a joystick. The wearer, or as the Nubrella calls him, “the host”, uses it to communicate his locomotion desires to his sentient headwear, which then grants permission to move as it sees fit.
