A Smelly Kind of Smell

So this morning, I had an interesting conversation with Dana a.k.a. Goldberry. We were discussing various smells that we liked. Not the run-of-the-mill stuff like hot apple pie or vanilla, but wierd stuff. She likes the smell of new electronics. I have always enjoyed the smell of a new video or PC game manual… something about the smell of the ink that just takes me back to sitting in the back seat of the car with a Nintendo game reading the manual while waiting to get home and play when I was little. It got me thinking that it would be interesting to pose the question to others, and see if anyone else likes any unique smells. That is, assuming any of my friends will actually bother with the registration process that was a necessary evil to fight comment spammers that seem to think my blog is a perfect spot for their viagra graffiti.

I really like the smell of foam.
    Yum.

BTW, what kind of car did you get?

MINI Cooper S w/JCW kit. I’ll eventually get around to posting a pic when I get her cleaned up. :) Just showed up Friday.

Bret you are just weird…..but I guess I always knew this. *grins*

Nice! Do you have to take it to Cinci for the free services, or will BMW Louisville do it now?

  5. gooselady:

Wooooo! It’s fun! We go to Indy to service…but what a fun drive it will be!

Why the hell won’t BMW Louisville get with the program?

BMW requires that dealerships that sell and service MINIs have a dedicated space to promote the MINI brand identity separate from BMW. Dreyer & Reinbold in Indy, for instance, has two separate showrooms. They’re connected in the same building, but the decor is very different and there is a clear separation between the two, along with separate signage out front. I read rumors that Sam Swope was perhaps going to open a MINI dealership, but I haven’t seen anything recently.
