Most Extreme Elimination Challenge
Last night I saw Most Extreme Elimination Challenge for the first time. This show is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. It’s actually a wacky-physical-stunts-type game show from Japan that has been licensed then dubbed over in English, a la Iron Chef, but while Iron Chef is unintentionally funny (to me anyway), this is deliberately funny, as the dubs aren’t actually translations of what’s being said. I just kept thinking, “it’s like the MST3K of game shows,” which is a good thing. Anyway, It had gooselady and I cracking up. It’s airing at 9:00 Saturday nights and 8:00 Sunday nights on TNN.

Oh my god, I can’t believe how insanely hillarious this show is! Did you see “Get Hard”, “Saddle Sores”, “Boulder Dash”, and “Teetering temple of Crippling Doom”? This calls for a Taco Bell Impact Replay! Kenny Blanekship is #1!!!

Truly one of the greatest television moments in my lifetime. This and Sealab 2021 have sustained my will to live. Where the hell has this show been hiding since the 1980’s. It was called Takeshi’s Castle in Japan. I can only hope that there were many seasons of this show to keep me howling. And I can’t wait for the Takeshi’s Castle: Uncensored DVD…full of hilarious outtakes, compound fractures, and a decade worth of recession!!!

dude, i jsut saw this for the first time ever and my chest hurts from laughing so hard. Nothing they do even makes sense but it was literally the funniest thing i have ever seen, along with “American Movie”. It was just a bunch of asians running around and getting hurt. so funny. I want to know when this is on so i can see every episode.

This is by far the funniest show in a long time…. I especially like the little convos. that kenny and vic have… I remember watching it one night and one guy was running down the hill getting ready to do the stunt and did a backflip and landed on his head…. i could not stop laughing

OMG!!! Me and my friend Ben accidently discovered MXC one night! Since then we have been watching it every weekend!! It is so hilarious! I haven’t laughed that hard in forever! We have so many inside jokes from it to like: We put the FU back in FUN!, and i’ve got blood in my stool, that deserves a taco bell replay!, and much much more!! I hope that show never goes off the air! I LOVE IT TO DEATH!

Hey kids~ Well well well, sooo glad to see that others show the same interest in this show as I do! I discovered it 2 weekends ago, with a friend of mine. We were flippin through the channels and saw it and were like, what is this?!?! So of course, we started to watch it, and got hooked! This last weekend I saw it on again, so the first thing I did was pop a tape in and started to record it, also makin my own box set! hehe ;) Anyways, this show is my FAVORITE show EVER!!! It makes me laugh sooo hard… my friends and I are now making shirts with it on it, and I’m gettin everyone else hooked too! We even got to watch it in 2 of my classes at school! It’s becoming a “every monday morning” thang! lol. Woohoo! So, keep on watching it, it’s hilarious. :)

The real story is yes, people did get hurt, but in the original version, they were going for one million yen, or as high-saleried athletes call that, “tip money.” Let’s see them duing a dubbed version without the sexual innuendo, and as a straight dub a la Iron Chef!

Yep, its definitely the best thing on TV right now, I think it’s based on early video games like Pit Fall, Donkey Kong, Castlevania, etc, except the players are real people.
I’ve had a surprisingly hard time tracking down any official web pages related to the original TV show in Japan, but apparently it is/was called “Istana Takashi“ or Takashi‘s Castle.

I also wish they’d simulcast it in the original Japanese with English subtitles so we could learn a little more about who these people actually are.

My wife and I have been watching MXC for a few weeks now since we discovered it accidentally on TNN. Previously our favorite show was Jackass and I kind of thought there could never be another show that funny but, here it is. The combination of the wacky Japanese contestants doing such insanely stupid and painful things with the creative voiceover is very refreshing. I am just waiting for the complete DVD collection. But what I want to know is what the heck do they really say? So an alternate audio track or maybe subtitles would make it worth some good $$$ even just to figure out what they could possibly be discussing when they smack those fans on eachothers heads.
