National Guard: More than meets the eye
Check this out — Optimus Prime is heading to the middle east. Well, kind of, anyway. A member of Ohio’s 5694th National Guard Unit legally changed his name to Optimus Prime.
It’s already doing wonders having an autobot on our side: “On Sunday, we were awarded as the best firefighting unit in the Army National Guard in the entire country,” said Prime. “That was a big moment for us.”
But my favorite part of the article is without a doubt this quote: “I got a letter from a general at the Pentagon when the name change went through and he says it was great to have the employ of the commander of the Autobots in the National Guard.”
Good to see even people in high places aren’t above having a little fun.
