Stupid web tricks
Someone just showed me this flash mind reader thing. This thing annoyed me to no end until I finally found out what was going on. Try it out, then click on “more” to find out how it works. Can’t believe the guy who wrote it has the nerve to ask for PayPal donations before he’ll tell you how it works!
Pay close attention to the symbols appearing next to each number every time you make a choice. The symbols change each time, which is what throws you off the track of what’s really happening. Fact is, when you take a two-digit number, add its digits together, and subtract the total from the original number, there are only so many results you can come up with. You will see the same symbol assigned to each of these possible results, forming an obvious diagonal pattern in the chart on the right hand side of the “crystal ball.” The only way to make this thing come up wrong is to be bad at math. ;)
